At Lake Hurlach, it's worth taking a short break at the new seating areas overlooking the water. If you take your time, you can not only relax but, with a little luck, also observe herons and other waterfowl.

This small lake has no source and the water collects exclusively from precipitation. A layer of lettuce prevents the water from seeping away. In hot summers the lake is sometimes dry.

A somewhat hidden but very nice favorite place to relax. It's quiet here, you sit between trees on the bench with a view of the small lake and can let your soul dangle.
