The Obermuehle was an iron mill around 1500. Harnessing the energy of the water's flow could power a hammer, which the blacksmith used to forge pig iron. The historic hammer mill and water wheel are open to visitors. You can also get married and celebrate afterwards in the mill.

The former basalt quarry has filled with water. The water didn't shimmer blue today, but rather dark green.

Coming from the Diana fountain, take the 2nd path to get to the lake. If you take the first path, you come to a fence above the lake.

For the hiker on the Lahnwanderweg stage 12, the restaurant is perfectly located in the middle and it is definitely recommended. A long and steady climb awaits you in the direction of Braunfels.

The wildlife park is worth a visit. The bears in particular are cute fellows.
