Nice in the forest and well away from the village

In 1980, the barbecue hut was built by the Philippstein volunteer fire brigade. Since then, it has been looked after and maintained by members of the fire department's operations department. The barbecue hut offers ideal conditions for sociable and cozy hours with friends. Location is a quiet forest clearing near the sports field and the castle ruins. The grill hut is equipped with a fridge, sink and beer tent sets. Electricity and running water are available. The grill hut (with seating) is designed for approx. 30 people. Additional seating in the covered outdoor area is available. Furthermore, there are sanitary installations in the extension (built by the FFw in 1997) that were designed to be handicapped accessible. In earlier times, the confirmants of the Pfingstenborners danced here. I was allowed to dance this one in 1985.

The shelter offers shelter for a small group in case of need. There is a U-shaped bench inside and a thick tree trunk as a shelf.
