Very nice hut with logbook, well maintained. Tie-down bars for horses also available. Was a perfect break stop for our hike with two dogs and horse 😊

From a distance it looks like a hut in Africa 🤣 You will find signposts made of large pebbles with writing reminiscent of Sütterlin very often in this area. At least the stones get a job🤓 The Sütterlinschrift, usually simply called Sütterlin, is a basic script developed by Ludwig Sütterlin in 1911 on behalf of the Prussian Ministry of Culture and Education for learning cursive writing at school

The designation "Auf dem Töps" suggests that it is a plateau about 100 meters above sea level. That's quite a height in the Lüneburg Heath, when you consider that the highest point in the North German Plain, the Wilseder Berg, is 162 m high. This height allows wonderful panoramic views.
