In the 18th century, Wildbad was one of the most important spa towns in Europe. It served as a health and recreation resort for the Margraves of Ansbach. The healing waters were already known in the time of Charlemagne, around 800 AD. Seven springs, stretching approximately 100 meters, gush forth here, and their waters were used to cure a wide variety of ailments.

Beautifully located and very helpful in bad weather, but also suitable as protection against the sun in midsummer.

You sit on a wooden bench on the bank, the sun warming your face as you gaze out over the sparkling water. The forest surrounds you with its soothing rustling, and the only sounds you hear are the chirping of birds and the rippling of the water.
