A beautiful rest area with a magnificent view over the idyllic lakes in the Büsenbach valley and its pretty heathland... a dream, especially during the heather bloom.

From the "Pferdekopf" you have the best view of the heathlands in the Büsenbachtal.

The Büsenbach Valley, with its winding Büsenbach stream, the fairy ponds, the Pferdekopf (horse's head), and, of course, the beautiful heath fields, is worth a visit at any time of year. And when it rains, you can simply head to the sheepfold.

The small Büsenbach flows through the valley, and heather-covered hills rise to the right and left. Gnarled junipers contrast with the flowering heaths. There are more and larger heaths: Wilsede; Röders Heide; Behringer Heide; Totengrund, Osterheide and many heaths Due to roots and other obstacles, the paths are more suitable for experienced cyclists. Be careful not to ride to the right of the Pferdekopf - that is prohibited!  **Tip**: For a carefree experience, we recommend exploring the beauty of nature on foot. .

There is already a beautiful view from the Pferdekopf, but you should not miss this view of the heathland in the Büsenbachtal with its small ponds.

The Büsenbach Valley offers a diverse heath landscape. The valley is a lovely destination for families with children. You can picnic on the meadows along the stream or climb the Pferdekopf (Horse's Head) hill and enjoy the view.

A very beautiful place, always. I love coming here. At the beginning of May you can hear lots of frogs croaking in the numerous small ponds. You go up to the Pferdekopf, from where you have a great view of the area.
