A beautiful valley with numerous idyllic ponds inhabited by water lilies and frogs... surrounded by a pretty heath... but always quite busy too.

I liked the restaurant a few meters before the fairytale forest the best. It's so beautifully quiet and beautiful. I've been there several times. The first time, unfortunately, was for a sad reason. A good friend of my wife and me is buried there in the Ruhewald. We had known each other for almost 50 years.

The landscape of the Büsenbach Valley is the result of the Ice Age. Like giant conveyor belts, Scandinavia's glaciers deposited sand and debris. For thousands of years, water and wind subsequently shaped the relief of our landscape. Where water flowed in large quantities, it left deep cuts in the terrain. This is how the Büsenbach Valley was formed.

The small Büsenbach flows through the valley, and heather-covered hills rise to the right and left. Gnarled junipers contrast with the flowering heaths. There are more and larger heaths: Wilsede; Röders Heide; Behringer Heide; Totengrund, Osterheide and many heaths Due to roots and other obstacles, the paths are more suitable for experienced cyclists. Be careful not to ride to the right of the Pferdekopf - that is prohibited!  **Tip**: For a carefree experience, we recommend exploring the beauty of nature on foot. .

A very beautiful place, always. I love coming here. At the beginning of May you can hear lots of frogs croaking in the numerous small ponds. You go up to the Pferdekopf, from where you have a great view of the area.

The Büsenbach Valley is rightly a nature reserve. Fantastic nature, just the right place to unwind.
