Every time I walk up to Christenberg, I look at the reflection of the Christenberg church in the mirror pond. It is simply beautiful to look at in any weather.

The reflection of St. Martin's Church in the mirror pond is always a highlight on the hike to Christenberg from Münchhausen. Otto Ubbelohde found this pond and its reflection so beautiful that he used it as a model for the illustration of the fairy tale "Iron Hans". Many years ago I once read the fairy tale to a hiking group at this spot.

The "Old Botanical Garden" is a gem in the north of Marburg. It is a place where everyone feels at home, especially during the warmer months: for the ducks that frolic in or near the water and the people who enjoy the sun or the shade and the peace on the lawn or the many benches.
