This viewpoint was set up by the Wachtberg Hiking Club e.V. to mark its tenth anniversary in 2012. It is located not far from the highest elevation in the municipality of Wachtberg at 269.2 m and is therefore called "Wachtberger Höhe". From here you can enjoy distant views to the north-east of the Siebengebirge, to the east of the foothills of the Westerwald and to the south of the Ahrgebirge.

The wide field here is mostly windy. Still very nice to drive and if you look closely you can see the Siebengebirge in the background.

When the weather is clear, the view extends as far as the Siebengebirge.
