You really don't see the proud age of the peace in Sweden, which is now almost 200 years old. After extensive refurbishment in 2009/2010, the Schwedenfrieden is now one of the "in" locations for celebrations of all kinds, hotel, event venue and popular destination. This airfield with shelter 🛖 was my inspiration to hike here. Fantastic view towards Künsebeck... the view 🏞 from Künsebeck towards Jakobsberg is also very nice.

Schwedenschanze is a common popular name for old ramparts, the origin of which was not exactly known. The rampart next to the refuge is the actual Schwedenschanze and was probably only built around 1673.

Slope launch for hang-gliders and paragliders Launch direction: south to north-west (ideally south-west to west).

We were able to enjoy coffee ☕️ and cake 🍰 during our visit! We had a nice stay and were able to warm up.

Very interesting design for a hiker's hut - but has the advantage that you can always sit dry on luv.

The homemade plum cake was delicious.
