The shelter was built by various craftsmen from Kirchhellen at the end of 2025 as part of the 125th anniversary celebrations of the Kolping Family Kirchhellen.

Large shelter with seating and trash receptacle. Perfect for a rest stop.

Great eggs and other treats are available here, and after the old hut was moved and rebuilt, there is now also coffee and other treats. There is also seating.

They have the best eggs here. Once you try them, you'll keep coming back.

It's a good place to take a break and the new hut is really great...

I wonder how the photo above of this highlight was taken when the dump has not yet been released by the RAG 🚫 😳 Komoot has also blocked the paths here. The dump was partly planted and now needs 1-3 years until nature 🌳 has secured everything and was able to spread further. You can still go up there early enough.

You should behave cautiously and prudently on the heap. The bird world is impressive. UNFORTUNATELY there are too many dog and horse owners who only use nature as a means to an end.
