A beautiful, quiet and narrow path along the small gorge created by the Gaulsgraben from the site of the Roman villa rustica to the Enzberg cemetery. Partially paved with gravel. Easy to walk on and probably not overgrown even in summer due to regular good use. Approximately 50 meters before the southern end you will find a historical boundary stone from 1829 (Württemberg/Baden). But that's not the only reason why the entire section is worthwhile.

The Schreibersklamm is a hidden gem below the Fraunhofer Institute on the Hummelberg. An adventurous hiking trail leads through the gorge.

If you come from Grötzingen, you can easily get into the gorge and walk down. At the end of the gorge you can climb onto the platform on the left before the low underpass (attention: steep, rather not recommended in muddy weather). On the right hand in front of the underpass, the way up ends at a fence, unfortunately it doesn't go any further here and you have to go back into the gorge. As Scout Jens writes, the easiest way to get out of the gorge is to take the path that goes up to the left halfway up the gorge (coming from Grötzingen, the top of the gorge). This path has the advantage that you can fully enjoy the gorge - a large natural monument, by the way - by walking back part of the way. I have therefore left out the underpass, as I fundamentally respect private property.

The wooden bridge over the upper end of the Ungeheuerklamm connects the forest paths on the left and the right on the gorge. Explanatory signs about flora and fauna and the fairly manageable route make for a nice circular route that is often used by families. Be careful, not all paths are suitable for prams, it's better to pack a carrying aid if you want to walk the narrower paths.
