Unfortunately, there's barely a clear view of the fenced-in area anymore – the surrounding trees block the view. A few buildings above the pond are still visible, but there's no sign of any habitable barrels.

A village with huge habitable wooden barrels in the middle of the coniferous forest around a fish pond with an island, a waterfall and an old mill wheel. The operation of this attraction in Bad Großertholz was discontinued in 2016, the barrel houses can still be admired.

A short detour from the path to the stone pyramid is rewarded with a romantic pond. A small part is private and cordoned off, but that doesn't bother us at all.

Access to the pond is free, but the area is leased and partially cordoned off. Fortunately, enough remains accessible, the detour to this romantic place is definitely worthwhile.

The Fassldorf ceased operations in July 2016. A unique attraction is the Fassldorf near Bad Großpertholz. From huge wooden barrels, Mr. Hahn and his family have designed a village with habitable huts.
