Directions for: ParapluibergStarting from Nußdorf, the path leads uphill through vineyards and orchards to the lookout point on the Parapluiberg. From here you have a wonderful view of the Traisental valley and the foothills of the Alps or even the Danube valley and Tullnerfeld. You return on the same route. Once you have reached the starting point, various wine taverns or an inn are recommended to recharge your batteries. There is also nothing to stop you from buying wine or fruit juice from the many top establishments; you will also find information about this at the starting point of your hike.The hiking trail is signposted with yellow signs according to the Lower Austria hiking trail concept "Parabluiberg".

From up here you have a wonderful view over the "wide land" of Lower Austria. To the north you can see over the Tullnerfeld and the Danube valley as far as the Waldviertel and the Weinviertel. To the south you can see the mountains on nice days. There are vineyards all around and to the east Sitzenberg Castle sits enthroned on a hill.

Arguably one of the lowest summit crosses in Austria (341 m), it nevertheless stands in a beautiful spot surrounded by forest, even though there used to be more trees up there. A little further south of the summit cross was once a medieval mountain complex.

On the hiking maps, this mountain is marked as "Großer Kölbling", but the summit cross says Karnerberg, perhaps someone knows where this name comes from, it is strange that the Sparkasse circular hiking trail does not go over it, but around it, as it is a nice place.

The corkscrew offers a beautiful panoramic view over the Tullnerfeld with Sitzenberg Castle to the Weinviertel, the Wetterkreuz and the Waldviertel and on the other side you can see the mountains with the dominant Schneeberg.

A rest and viewing point just above the western end of Tullnerfeld with a view over the Danube into the Weinviertel and Waldviertel and on the other side into the Alps up to the Schneeberg. Further down there is a cellar alley where you can always find an open wine tavern!

A wonderful vantage point over Nussdorf with a great view over the lower Traisental. There is also a "Hüttl" here with lots of local drinks to drink. When the sun is shining, you can "sit down" on one of the many deck chairs

Surprisingly, there is a summit cross here, the interesting thing is that it is labeled "Karnerberg" even though every map says "Großer Kölbling". I couldn't find out where the name Karnerberg comes from.

Summit cross in the forest, where there are also benches to rest. Unfortunately, a sign prohibiting cycling adorns the last final climb. However, the ascent was so overgrown and steep anyway that only pushing was possible.
