At 645 m above sea level, the Jochgrabenberg is the highest point in the municipality of Pressbaum in Lower Austria. The easternmost section of the main Alpine ridge runs over the summit. In 1891, the 18-meter-high Wienerwaldwarte was built on the summit by the Austrian Tourist Club and officially opened on October 11, 1891. It existed until around the middle of the 20th century. Since then, the Jochgrabenberg transmitter has been located on the summit, which is connected to the Kahlenberg transmitter. One of the most beautiful views over the Vienna Woods, the Way of St. James, the Vienna Woods long-distance hiking trail 404, the Great Tullnerfeld circular hiking trail 475 and the Voralpenweg 04 pass here.

If you are nearby, you should definitely climb up to the lookout to enjoy the fantastic panoramic view. The lookout is not only a viewing point, but also an important radio facility used by various organizations. It is a joint project of the communities of Gablitz, Purkersdorf and Tullnerbach and is accessible all year round. I visited this mountain as part of my Dwarf Mountain Tours series.
