This structure with 7 arches was built in the course of the railway construction between 1906 and 1909. It is the highest overpass of the Donauuferbahn from Vienna to St.Valentin. The opening of the local railway from Krems to Grein took place in 1909.

Very natural, how the gorge created itself over thousands of years. Of course, here and there was helped by human hands, but it is a true natural spectacle. The old solid wood bridge rounds off the whole thing wonderfully.
