The beautiful Hochosterwitz Castle is located in the area of today's municipality of St. Georgen am Längsee, east of St. Veit an der Glan. In the Middle Ages, Hochosterwitz Castle served as a defense for the local population. Today, it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Carinthia.
