Today we went on a night jungle trip in Khao Sok with our family. We were given a flashlight and a guide took care of us. It wasn't difficult. We only saw small animals - snakes, centipedes, spiders, monkeys and moths. But it was still very interesting. Tomorrow we will go on a day trek 😃👍🙋🏼

The name of this national park comes from the combination of Ban Sop, the house of dead bodies, but Khao Sok is full of life and breathtaking nature. It would have been enough for visitors to never know the beauty of the tropical jungle here. However, the local ecosystem was saved by disease and the turbulent events that Thailand went through in the mid-1970s. In 1944, an epidemic hit the Khao Sok area, killing a large part of the local population, the rest then left and the local landscape remained deserted.

Great park, during the day you can watch the monitor lizards for which the park is known, with a bit of luck you can spot the Channas in the water and in the evening the park serves as a sports facility for the residents

Khao Sok National Park in the Thai province of Surat Thani is a stunning natural paradise covering an area of 739 square kilometers. Established in 1980, the park protects one of the oldest evergreen rainforests in the world, estimated to be over 160 million years old. This ancient landscape is characterized by imposing limestone formations, deep valleys, rushing waterfalls, and mysterious caves. A central highlight of the park is Cheow Lan Lake, a 165-square-kilometer reservoir created by the construction of the Ratchaprapha Dam. The lake is known for its floating bungalows, which offer visitors a unique overnight stay amidst the breathtaking scenery. The park's flora is exceptionally diverse. Particularly noteworthy is the Rafflesia kerrii, one of the largest flowers in the world, which is native to this area. The dense forests also house a variety of tree species, lianas, and bamboo plants, which together form a complex and species-rich ecosystem. The fauna of Khao Sok National Park is also impressive. Among its inhabitants are Asian elephants, Malayan tapirs, bears, gibbons, and a variety of bird species. The world's first amphibious centipede, Scolopendra cataracta, was also discovered here.

The Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden, often referred to as the “Green Lung of Bangkok”, is an idyllic natural paradise in the Phra Pradaeng district, just a stone's throw from the bustling city center. This 148 rai (about 237 hectares) area was opened in 2003 and offers visitors a welcome break from the urban hustle and bustle. The park boasts a diverse range of flora and fauna, which particularly attracts nature lovers and bird watchers. A 2.2-kilometer-long cycle path winds through the grounds and allows you to experience the lush vegetation and numerous waterways up close. A highlight is the seven-meter-high bird watching tower, from which you have an impressive view over the canopy and can observe various species of birds. The park is a true paradise for cyclists. Bicycles can be rented directly at the park entrance or at nearby ferry terminals, with prices ranging between 20 and 30 baht per day. The well-developed paths lead through shady areas, past lakes and bridges that invite you to linger.

Great place to relax. You sit in small open huts right by the water and are provided with food and drink. You can also swim.

Bangkok's Urban Oasis: Benjakitti Park - Where Nature Meets Fun! Bangkok - a city of bustling streets, towering skyscrapers and vibrant chaos. But in the middle of this urban jungle lies a hidden gem, a lush sanctuary of greenery and excitement. Bangkok - a city of bustling streets, towering skyscrapers and vibrant chaos. But in the middle of this urban jungle lies a hidden gem, a lush sanctuary of greenery and excitement.A Majestic Creation: Behind every great park lies a great story and Benjakitti Park is no exception. Originally opened in 1992 to celebrate Queen Sirikit's 60th birthday, this park was given its charming name by the Queen herself. In 2004, it underwent a major expansion and became the first park in Bangkok to feature a forest park. At 72 hectares of wonder, it offers more than just your usual green space. If you're lucky, you might spot monitor lizards. The shy animals have become accustomed to humans. But beware, if you get too close, they become nasty! Lake Ratchada: A Romantic Escape: Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Lake Ratchada, affectionately known as Lake Rajada, which dominates three-quarters of the park. The shimmering waters reflect the Bangkok skyline and provide the perfect backdrop for an evening stroll or a dreamy boat ride. Imagine yourself gliding on a swan boat, surrounded by fish and turtles as the sun casts its magical hues on the cityscape. Fitness Paradise: Fitness fanatics, rejoice! Benjakitti Park has you covered, with dedicated jogging and cycling paths that wind through the park's picturesque corners. But beware, fast cyclists - this is no Tour de France! The park is all about relaxed rides and leisurely jogs. So, let go, burn off the Thai delicacies and enjoy a refreshing workout in this green sanctuary.
