The picturesque bathing pond is located in the Toggenburg municipality of Hemberg at 965 meters above sea level. The pond is located outside the village center in the direction of Scherb and Nesslau. There is a fountain in the back part of the pond. A few meters below the bathing pond you can stop for a drink in the restaurant. (schweizersee.ch)

Gräppelensee The Gräppelensee is located above Unterwasser in the municipality of Wildhaus-Alt St. Johann in the canton of St. Gallen on a high plateau at an altitude of 1307 meters above sea level. The Toggenburg natural lake is located in a protected moorland area and is about 140m long and 110m wide. The Seebach flows out of the Gräppelensee, which flows into the Thur in the valley. The small moor lake can be reached on foot from the villages of Unterwasser and Alt St. Johann in an hour; from Wildhaus in about 90 minutes. The barbecue area with benches directly on the lake is a popular resting place in the warm months. The Gräppelensee is a popular subject for photographers, especially when the striking Schafberg is reflected in the lake in good weather. Good place for a hiking break.

Really a good, traffic-free to low-traffic connection. A part between Gübsensee and Herisau leads up and down on the old route of the Appenzellerbahn with a very pleasant incline. Suitable for families!

Nice little lake in the gorge, a little more space than usual along the way

Small pond, unfortunately completely surrounded by roads. On the lower side of the monastery there is a second, somewhat more secluded pond.
