Really great hike for the whole family, everyone involved should be sure-footed, at the highest point of the hike you will be rewarded with a fantastic backdrop. Definitely a highlight!

The Kaltenbach wilderness takes its name from the Kaltenbach, which is often dry, but as soon as it fills up with snowmelt or after a long period of rain, it becomes a small torrent that has cut deep into the small valley. Rock towers and needles are the result of erosion in the limestone. Together with the Kaltenbach, they form a wild, romantic gorge that can be hiked over footbridges, stairs and bridges.

This path through rugged rocks at the foot of the Traunstein is wildly romantic! The creek bed is very dry in summer. You do not climb far up and have a wonderful view of the whole Traunsee region. Surefootedness is already an advantage on the partially insured climb. The bike is helpful to get you started at the Hois'n a good inn. Car traffic on this narrow street with many bathers is only tedious.

In this small ditch along the Stücklbach you can find an incredible amount of wild garlic in spring! The Graben is a worthwhile walk at any time of year; in winter with a frozen stream, pleasantly cool in summer heat. From here you can go to the Gmundnerberg or just a little way up and over the little bridge back down to Altmünster.

Here you can swim great, then it goes refreshed on. Until the finish on Offensee there are about 7 km on asphalt and uphill.
