The Strunde or Strunder Bach is a former right tributary of the Rhine in North Rhine-Westphalia. The source of the Strunde is in the Bergisch Gladbach district of Herrenstrunden, which is named after it. Today, it flows into the Faulbach.

A wonderful waterfall cascading from the floodplain into the creek cut. It continues to flow even when the original stream has long since dried up.

Very beautiful stream with crystal clear water. Unfortunately there is also a lot of bicycle traffic on the path along the stream.

The Strunde was once considered the busiest stream in Germany. Today, it can only be seen in a few places in its seemingly natural stream.

A narrow path runs alongside the idyllic wetland habitat in the former settling basin of the Blücher zinc mine. It leads across the dam to the Lerbach stream and along the old mining road on the northern bank. You even pass a real waterfall. Just follow the blue markers. The old footpath on the southern bank is now blocked by 20 spruce trees. It's impassable.

The Strunder Bach must have once been a “raging stream”, as it powered over 40 mills in its heyday. Numerous witnesses to this past can still be found today, even on the right bank of the Rhine in Cologne.
