The Hesselbach Valley is a small, shady valley with a stream (the Hesselbach) that forms part of the diverse Eifel landscape around Steckenborn and Woffelsbach. It lies between open fields and wooded areas and offers tranquil nature, streams, and viewpoints, including views of the Rursee lake and the Eifel forests. The valley is part of numerous hiking trails and circular routes in the region, such as a loop from Woffelsbach through the Hesselbach Valley with panoramic views of the Rursee.

Already hiked or cycled past 100 times, but still impressive

The stream valley is very calming and beautiful, and in summer cows roam there. Not recommended after heavy or long periods of rain, as the ground becomes very soft and muddy.

From here you have a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and valleys.

The cycle path here leads between the “Kaiserfelsen”.

The circular route around the Kalltalsperre is very well developed and surrounded by an impressive rock and forest landscape. Regardless of whether you are hiking or cycling, the Kalltalsperre is always a worthwhile destination.
