It was planned and created in the second half of the 19th century, like many recreational parks in other cities. An "English Garden" was created on the former eastern green, i.e. a forest park with a circular main path running through the middle. While it was used as pasture for cattle and as a training area by the military until the beginning of the 20th century, it is now used exclusively for recreation.

A remarkable city park for the size of Schwabach. In midsummer, shady under the many large trees. Invites you to linger, stroll and relax.

Beautiful, well-kept, spacious city park. Especially wonderful in spring with all the blooming crocuses and tulips. There is also a lake with several seating areas. In the northwest corner there is a beautiful large playground, beer garden and the Schwabacher outdoor pool.

A music pavilion forms the heart of the city park. Music events are offered there in summer. Many different paths around the pavilion cross the city park.
