Pastor Johann Bapt. Schiebel spent his retirement in Reichenbach from 1936 onwards. He celebrated Holy Mass daily and, in 1945, his Golden Jubilee as a priest in the Chapel of St. James. A statue of Our Lady of Fatima has stood on the northern side altar, the Marienaltar, since 1947.
