You really don't see the proud age of the peace in Sweden, which is now almost 200 years old. After extensive refurbishment in 2009/2010, the Schwedenfrieden is now one of the "in" locations for celebrations of all kinds, hotel, event venue and popular destination. Schwedenschanze is a common popular name for old ramparts, the origin of which was not exactly known. The rampart next to the refuge is the actual Schwedenschanze and was probably only built around 1673.

There is a nice place to rest here with many benches. There is even a picnic bench with a table outside.

We were able to enjoy coffee ☕️ and cake 🍰 during our visit! We had a nice stay and were able to warm up.
