The Green Lake emerged from a former quarry. Mining continued here until the 1930s and then the lake filled with water. Due to its depth, the rock and the surrounding trees, it actually has an intense greenish shimmer, which makes the pond very worth seeing.

A great place to take a break. Above the lake there is a great place to sit with tables and benches, but you can also linger right by the lake. However, apart from the dinosaurs, that was the only highlight for me. I find the forest section rather boring.

Ideal for families with children/dogs. Very idyllic. We didn't like the hut above. They haven't kept up with the times there. Soft drinks for children are only offered in plastic cups and there are no food options for vegetarians. When I asked, I was asked what I did for a living and both the owner and his friends made irrelevant and shameful remarks about the teaching profession. I haven't had to endure such barroom platitudes for a long time. Unfortunately, we moved on quickly...

Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
