The Bruderhäuschen is difficult to reach, but still worth seeing. However, if you want to explore it, you have to make yourself small and maybe take a flashlight with you.

The shaft is not so good. It is dark and quite mystical.

You can't see much, but this shaft is still mystical, especially when you know that it goes 50m deep. This makes it one of the deepest.

Here, right on the path on the side of the hill, stands one of the Palatinate Forest Association's over 300 knight's stones. Its arrow points to the top right at the "Mayor's Stone". This stone contains a "small cave, on whose rock walls over 100 house marks [= a kind of signature or name seal] were carved between 1602 and 1634." Source (partly quoted verbatim): "Knight's Stones in the Palatinate Forest" by Walter Eitelmann, self-published by the Palatinate Forest Association, Neustadt/Wstr.

At the moment you can't officially go there anymore, the hiking path has been diverted due to the risk of falling. yellow dot

At some points on this path you have to carefully find a way around the fallen trees - without slipping! Surefootedness required!

It is located on the southern slope of the Königsberg, about a hundred meters above the Königsmühle, and can be reached via an unmarked hiking trail that is difficult to walk. The Hermitage has collapsed a bit, but you can still climb into this 5 meter wide cave. The roof of the cave is made of a rock. There is a cistern that catches the rainwater, as well as gutters carved into the rock can be seen, which led the rainwater into the cistern.

A mysterious place. Two crevasses in the earth that lead 50m down, not all that spectacular from the outside, but somehow magical.

When looking at the crevices, you can hardly believe that it goes down to 50m. It is also interesting to take a quick look at the video of the cave explorers who have already stayed here: https://youtu.be/U_yZSvk4EqU

Anyone who wants to explore the gap should be quite flexible and better not be alone!

A very interesting highlight. Behind this shaft is a cave that was found in 1916 and is up to 46m deep.
