The Eisenberg is a 594.6 m high mountain in the Diemelbergland and the highest elevation in the town of Marsberg.

The Eisenberg has two peaks: the western peak, with its summit in Westphalia, is 594.6 m high, and the eastern peak, 1060 m away and located on the border with northern Hesse, is 536.9 m high. The two peaks are connected by a 514.1 m high saddle. 625 m south-southwest of the summit lies the secondary peak of St. Muffert (524.9 m), with its eponymous viewpoint. The name of the route says it all! It's no coincidence that the Heringhausen Panorama Trail is considered one of the most beautiful and scenic circular trails in the Sauerland. Along a length of almost eleven kilometers, hikers can expect magnificent views of the Diemel Dam, the imposing barrier, and beyond, spectacular panoramic views of the hilly cultural landscape at the intersection of the Waldeck region and the Sauerland. Narrow, earthy forest paths and natural forest and meadow trails characterize the route, which continually offers surprises and beautiful panoramas. The constant alternation between idyllic forest passages and expansive, agricultural open spaces alone ensures that boredom never sets in. From the St. Muffert viewpoint with its summit cross, there is a breathtaking view over Lake Diemelsee and its surroundings.
