Yes, there are spotlights on top of the tower. From a distance it looks like a burning candle. There used to be four candles in Marsberg, arranged like an advent wreath (two church towers, Bilstein and on the hospital). But was then for cost reasons

The Bilstein Tower is one of the towers built for tourism at the end of the 19th century. The climb from Marsberg goes first over the cemetery and then up a steep path. At every turn of the way there is a portrait of the Passion of Christ. Wailing because of the rise does not apply!
