The Acqua Rocca Trail takes its name from a seasonal waterfall that forms in winter and spring, shaping the basaltic rocks over time. Even in summer, the trail offers spectacular views of the Valle del Bove, the summit craters and the Ionian coast.

Here you can find an oasis of coolness during the hottest hours. The vegetation is beautiful and welcomes numerous birds.

Beautiful corner, even if the descent from the car park is not easy, but they are apparently currently working on renewing the path (as of October 2024). Jumping in and lying around is allowed, it's a lot of fun. On the way back you can take a long walk and enjoy magnificent views down into the gorge, after another climb you then cross the road back to the car park. Entrance at the top: adults 2€, children 1€, parking 4€, worth it! Getting there from Syracuse approx. 45m

The third proposed route cannot currently be done! The section that goes up to Mount Zoccolaro is currently closed due to new landslides on the ridge! It is best to only do the route from Piano del Vescovo to Acqua Rocca and then continue to Valle del Bove!
