The Tannheimer Valley is a high valley located approximately 1,100 meters above sea level in the Tannheimer Mountains, part of the Allgäu Alps in the Tyrolean district of Reutte. When I'm in Haldensee, I feel a surge of ❤️. The valley is simply beautiful💯👍

The stunning landscape behind Lake Vilsalpsee is breathtaking. A detour to the waterfall behind the Vilsalpe (approx. 30-40 minutes) is worthwhile.

One of the most beautiful bike paths I know leads through the Tannheimer Valley... great panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and a very pleasant ride...

Partly very steep, with lots of loose rocks and a very narrow path. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Especially downhill, you can slide quite a bit if your technique isn't up to scratch. If you panic about things like that, you'd better avoid this route.
