You wouldn't expect a pond at the edge of the forest at Pfarrholz. Lies hidden. Maybe the horses were watering here at the time of the Battle of Jena in October 1806?

Unfortunately, idiots released goldfish here, so there will probably be no offspring for the rare newts! ;-(

Great photo opportunity. A beautiful wet biotope that greatly enriches this landscape here. I'm curious what can be observed in the course of the seasons. We will be back.
