At this central point, various forest paths converge and form a large, star-shaped intersection. There is also a large shelter here, as well as several places to sit.

Yes, I know my way around. I climbed the "mountain" 50 years ago; I helped the winemaker make noise (in this case gas self-firing systems and muzzle-loading black powder pistols). It was a real experience at that age. I could see the mountain from my room, the so-called high-rise. Back then, I had to cross corn fields and a larch forest to get there before climbing. I'm afraid things have changed a bit since then. But the view is still the same. That's not so bad, after all.
