I think the paths are great, the nature is amazing! But I'm more of a mountain biker and love natural routes... Probably less suitable for organic bikers with trekking bikes. But that's a matter of taste. Unfortunately, even though it's only May (2024), the Durbeke doesn't have any water.

Idyllic quiet valley. The forest and gravel paths are also great fun with a comfortably tuned gravel bike. On my tour during the week, early in the morning, almost deserted! So pay attention to good equipment ☝️😃

The Durbeke stream valley consists of karst rock, which is very permeable. So it happens quite often that the Durbeke has no water at all because it seeps underground. Incidentally, the seepage water reappears as Pader and Lippe!

The valley is really beautiful. However, it could be particularly beautiful in spring when the fruit blossoms, as there are many fruit trees in the meadows.
