The Ludens Ruh rest area commemorates the master baker Ludwig Schneider (1841-1913), nicknamed Lude. He was a connoisseur of the heath and spent much time there. The old shelter was completely renovated years ago and now looks almost stylish. A well-stocked guestbook is still available; the container can be turned, making it easy to access the book and pens.

The forester's lodge is idyllically situated and has a barbecue area and a rest area with a fire pit right next door. New wooden tree stands are also being built here.

Cunnersdorf stop overgrown in summer

Haarweiden Reservoir in the eastern part of the Dresden Heath, near Ullersdorf. Information: This small reservoir was created in the 1930s by damming the Haarweidenbach stream. Since then, it has become a popular destination for outings. In 2009, a shelter with tables and benches was built on the shore, providing a rest area for hikers and walkers.

This was once a railway stop, today a rest area with historical memories.

The "Hofewiese" beer garden, lined with large trees, is located next to a horse farm. The buildings belonging to the "Hofewiese" are currently being restored. This was once the foal breeding ground of Augustus the Strong, and hay for the horses was harvested in the stable yard. The construction work will not disrupt beer garden operations. The beautiful and spacious beer garden offers Wi-Fi, card payments, food and drinks, and covered seating.
