A visit to St Michael's Mount is well worth it, even if the entrance fee is a hefty £26.00 for the castle and gardens (2023). You have to make the necessary time for it. Avoid the weekends because then it is very busy!

Godolphin Estate is managed by the National Trust. Beautiful area for walking. Carn Brea Castle is an impressive structure, built into the rock on the top of Carn Brea. It is now a grade II listed restaurant, but was built in the 14th century as a chapel. Later, in the 18th century, the castle was altered into a hunting lodge. From high up here you can enjoy impressive views in every direction. In the 19th century, a beacon was lit here for ships to the north in the Atlantic Ocean. It has a lovely feeling of stepping back in time atop Carn Brea. A good cycling section, with good views. Bit of a push up the hill off the lovely smooth cycle path, but not too bad.

There's a great network of gravel trails across Carn Brea, which are a mixture of bridleways and footpaths, so best to check before you ride.
