Take this path to avoid as much as possible of the horrible main road

Small lake at the top of the pass, there are a few tent sites to be found. Fantastic view of the Five Sisters of Kintail!

Nice and flat stretch of road alongside Loch Duich. It is flat, but be warned you have to do some climbing to get here! The road is a dead end at Totaig unless you want to take your road bike onto the gravel, in which case you can turn left and head back to Glenelg.

Quiet and remote, Carr Brae Road is road running that even the most seasoned trail runners won't mind, with ever-changing views out across Loch Alsh to Skye. A little farther on are the classic aerial views of Eilean Donan Castle.

Carr Brae Road comes with some great views over Loch Alsh in all directions. While it is a longer road stretch, it is comes with constantly changing views. And if you are out in your car - unless you are in a rush to get to Skye - well worth the detour. Do be on the lookout for kangaroos though as the road signs will tell you ;-)

Lovely views back over the waters of Loch Duich, can be pretty eerie at times.
