Holyrood Palace is the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland, located at the opposite end of the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle.

We visited the palace. Costs 22 pounds. Great audio guide. Unfortunately you are not allowed to take photos in the palace. But the visit is worth it. The palace still serves as the official residence of the King of Scotland.
