This is an absolutely fantastic spot, as the reserve isn't overcrowded. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet and, if the time is right, watch black grouse in the moor.

Next to the small bench is an information board about the island with details about the settlement at that time. Stone walls from this period can still be seen on the island itself.

This beautifully laid out wooden plank path runs through the open raised bog and connects two small islands within it. It's very typical of Småland and a common sight.

There are two foundations of old buildings to see. Both are remarkably well preserved and clearly visible, which isn't always the case with such old structures. In the second, larger one, even the frame of the entrance door is still clearly visible.

In the northern starting area, which leads primarily through a hornbeam grove and several forest moor passages, there are a total of three sections that run over wooden planks. The width, length, and surroundings are quite diverse, so it never gets boring.

The island in the moor was reclaimed in 1780 and was then inhabited for about 100 years.
