Shelter located by the lake, ideal for a one-night stay during a trekking tour.

It's a great starting point for several hikes. It's also a great starting point for a walk around Eksjöhovgårdssjön, and also for a short hike north along the Häradsvägen (Häradsväg Road). Several picnic benches with great views of the lake and the castle ruins, as well as a well-maintained restroom, are available. A large information board with all the sights and hiking routes completes the offering.

The lake in Småland is located directly on the border of the municipalities of Hultsfred and Vetlanda. It is part of the main catchment area of the Emån River. The lake has a surface area of 1 km², lies 116 meters above sea level, and is up to 17 meters deep. It is drained by the Sällevadsån River. Perch, bream, pike, and roach have been documented in the lake.

Very dusty in front and lots of ash from the fireplace. But easy to get to.

A first look over the lake and forest gives an idea of the magical moments that will immerse you in nature over the next 10 km along the shoreline.

Really nice natural campsite Spilhammars Camping near Mariannelund, partly in the middle of the forest with a lot of open space (without electricity) or on the meadow right by the lake (with electricity). Sanitary top, usable with chip card from the campsite. Payment not possible with card! Beautiful hikes are possible from this spot along lakes through forests past Filmbyn Småland.
