A beautiful, almost straight climb up Schöppinger Berg. It can be climbed from various angles, and this one is definitely not the most challenging.

The monument awaits at the “summit” of the Hünsberg.

Since 1985 there has been a monument to the "Heath poet" on the highest point of the Hünsberg. The memorial dates from 1928 and originally stood on the summit of neighboring Langenberg. The summit fell victim to a sand excavation for the production of sand-lime brick.

At 106 m above sea level, the Hünsberg is the highest point here. You can't enjoy the view here, but there is a small bench in front of the Hermann Löns monument for a nice rest.

The climb is worth it ... from there so many paths lead further into the forest that you have to walk there quite often.
