Great place to stop and explore

The historic town of Winter Garden holds many hidden treasures wrapped in its small town Florida charm. There are stories of train workers spitting tomato seeds into the soil and to their surprise it plants would grow even in the winter. Hence, the name: Winter Garden.

Lake Druid Park is a popular Orlando Park on the banks of the lake that gives the park its name. There are some biking trails through the park, that range in difficulty, so not all can be done on a touring bike.

The Seminole Bridge takes cyclists and pedestrians safely over the Florida National Scenic Trail, also known in this part as the Seminole Trail. Pass over the busy highway 4 and enjoy Oval Park on the west end of the bridge.

Sand Road joins up with the Flordia Trail for about a quarter mile. This road is more like hard-packed dirt than sand and gravel.

The West Orange Trail totals over 20 miles and is paved the entire way. The trail is normally over 10 feet wide and is really popular for flat running, walking, and biking. There are a bunch of different trailheads, so you can start your tour from a number of different places.

A part of the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail, Cross Seminole Trail is a 23-mile journey. Enjoy park amenities at Big Tree Park and Greenwood Lakes Park. Check out Spring Hammock Preserve for an off-road wilderness experience.
