Withlacoochee State Trail, stretching 47 miles, is one of the longest paved trails in Florida and is popular among hikers, runners, and bikers. For those looking to mix in some trail running, a nice unpaved trail runs parallel to the main path.

Bobcat Trail runs for about a mile, connecting the northern and southern parts of the park. It winds through a nicely forested and shaded area with mostly sandy terrain, providing a pleasant hike.

Flatwoods Conservation Park offers a 7-mile (11.3 km) paved loop trail, meant for multiuse by cyclists, walkers and runners. Entry costs $2 per vehicle, with up to 8 people in the vehicle. The Flatwoods Park Trail is the main paved trail that runs through Hillsborough Wildlife Management Area. It is a great trail to take to get you to some of the more technical tracks in the park.

The main trail through the Lower Hillsborough Wilderness Preserve is wide, smooth, and well-kept. This is a super popular option for mountain bikers and trail runners, while the paved path around the preserve is utilized by road cyclists and road runners. The trails are smooth enough that pretty much every path is suitable for a gravel or touring bike.
