Waterfall within the Gran Sasso Monti della Laga area. Spectacular and reachable with a nice walk from Bosco Martese.

Absolutely doable on both full and front mountain bikes with a little experience. To get there you need to cross a small ford over a small bridge, which I highly recommend doing on foot to avoid swimming in the ditch. The route that leads to the Morricana waterfall starts from the Ceppo square with a dirt path, totally immersed in poplar and fir vegetation, cool and shaded. Also accessible by bike. Then the route climbs towards the waterfalls crossing small fords created by the waters flowing down into the valley. Always route in the shade.

In spring and summer the waterfall is full of water. The route immersed in the Martese forest, among beech and fir trees, is very pleasant. The waterfall in the summer period is worth a bath in costume.

The Revotico waterfall is located a few steps from the town of Campotosto. It can be reached with an easy walk, also suitable for families. Immediately after the snow melts, at the beginning of summer, the waterfall is at its maximum capacity and offers an enchanting natural spectacle.

The Morricana waterfall is 40 meters high and is the highest waterfall in the Monti della Laga park. Immersed in a forest of silver firs and beech trees, the best times to come and admire it are autumn or spring.

The iron bridge is located inside a large beech forest, a typical species of the Apennines. Some of the beech trees are particularly tall and have huge roots.

The name of the valley of the hundred sources (or hundred waterfalls) takes its name from the small waterfalls present, coming from the many springs present under Monte Garzone.
