Crossing the Polish-Lithuanian border. At this point, the gravel road ends and the asphalt begins. Driving through here, you can circle Lake Gaładuś, which lies along the border. Right next to it (on the Polish side) runs the R65 Suwałki Region Cycle Ring trail. Just before the border, on the right, there's a path to the lake.

Lake Gaładuś, partially located in Lithuania, is one of the most beautiful bodies of water in the Suwałki Region and a true gem of the Sejny region. Its elongated shape, with bays, headlands, and islands, creates an exceptionally picturesque landscape. The lake's shores are high and hilly, covered with meadows and small forests, providing stunning views during stops or short breaks. The waters are of high purity, and the bottom is sandy and rocky, ideal for swimming on warm days.

Lake Hołny in the Sejny commune is a picturesque reservoir covering over 150 hectares, located right on the border with Lithuania. Thanks to its quiet zone, it offers a peaceful atmosphere, and the industry-free environment encourages relaxation close to nature. The shores are largely covered with dense reeds and rushes, which limits access but gives the lake a wild character. It's an interesting stop on the trail, especially for those seeking peace, solitude, and contact with nature.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Berżniki is a historic wooden church dating from 1819, picturesquely situated near Lake Kelig. Surrounded by a fence with chapels, and flanked by a 19th-century bell tower and old rectory, it forms a valuable complex of sacred architecture. The interior has retained its historic character, and the site commemorates important events in the history of the parish and the region. In 2013, a plaque was unveiled here in honor of Marian Piekarski, a soldier of the Home Army and the Freedom and Independence Association. Be sure to step inside and notice the interesting lamp!

Wołyńce (lit. Valinčiai) is a small village in the Suwałki Region, located in the Puńsk commune, right next to the border with Lithuania. It is one of the villages where Lithuanian traditions, language and culture have been preserved, making it part of the so-called "Little Lithuania" in Poland. The area is characterized by the typical Suwałki Region hilly landscape, fields and forests, ideal for peaceful hikes and bike trips. There are other Lithuanian villages and attractions nearby, such as Puńsk with its open-air museum and Sejny with its famous basilica. This is a great place to feel the unique atmosphere of the Polish-Lithuanian border.
