The history of Ormana, Turkey, is closely linked to the unique architecture of its "button houses." These houses, built without mortar using only stones and cedar wood, are among the most sustainable examples of local architecture in Turkey. The button houses of Ormana are a remarkable example of traditional Turkish architecture. The houses are constructed without mortar, with the stones and cedar wood stacked so skillfully that they hold together without any additional support. This construction method is not only environmentally friendly but also extremely stable and resistant to earthquakes. Some of the houses are over 300 years old, testifying to the craftsmanship of the builders of that time. The village has retained its original character and offers a glimpse into traditional Turkish village life.

There are three viewing platforms right on the road. That means there is something special to see here. Unfortunately, the fog was so thick when we were there that I'm curious to see your photos.

In winter, the water level is high enough to allow you to travel further into the cave. If there are any problems with the water level being too high, it is only after the snow melts.

Ürünlü is a small village in the province of Antalya, Turkey, which is best known for its proximity to the famous Altınbeşik caves. Ürünlü is nestled in a picturesque mountain landscape and offers a quiet retreat away from the tourist hotspots of the region. The village is also known for its traditional stone houses and the hospitable, rural atmosphere, which gives visitors an insight into rural life in Turkey. There is a very old blacksmith shop, a synagogue (open to visit), a small café and shops for handicrafts/regional products.

Ürünlü, a small village in Antalya province, is home to a historic synagogue that is a testament to the Jewish community in the region. This synagogue is a testament to the cultural diversity and religious history of the village, although the Jewish community is no longer based locally today. The synagogue has long been used as a place of prayer and gathering and is an interesting architectural relic. Visitors exploring the area can discover the synagogue as part of Ürünlü's cultural heritage, which includes historical and religious sites in addition to the well-known natural attractions such as Altınbeşik Cave.

At the signposted viewpoint you have a fantastic view of the (Turkish) Manastir kanyonu with the Manavgat River in the valley of the canyon.

The Altinbesik Cave can be reached by car or, more beautifully, as a short hike from Ürünlü. The cave is home to the largest underground lake in Turkey. In summer and winter, you can take guided boat tours into the interior of the cave. In winter and spring, the water level is too high for this.
