We didn't have time to drive to the ruins, but the view over the lake to the ruins is also great

Large quarry pond located just behind the cycle path that runs along the Rhine. The water is very clean and it is possible to swim. It is also a great, fairly quiet bivouac spot.

With its clear, light-blue water and many stretches of beach, this is probably one of the most beautiful quarry ponds in the area. The bathing areas are mainly in the western part of the lake.

The Reitmattensee was created in 1969/70 on meadows and pastures. 30-40 years ago, it was a nice little bathing lake. Bathing is still allowed, but it is very overgrown by aquatic plants and the water is also brownish. I will not bathe or swim 🏊♀️ in it. Too bad
