Natural spectacle that cheers up the walk on the easy path 742, in the woods just above San Martino

Wild but at the same time not far from Cavalese and Castello di Fiemme, this waterfall anticipates by a few dozen meters the flow of the Val Moena stream into the Avisio. It has a great sound and visual impact, certainly one of the best waterfalls in the area.

The Cavalese waterfall is fed by the Rio Val Moena, which rises in the beautiful mountain valley of the same name. It is interesting to watch how its water falls over the edge of the rocks about 20m into the depths. It looks as if it is pointing an index finger towards the sky. If you watch it from the bridge, at the outlet, you are impressed by the unbridled power of nature and feel the fine spray on your face. Several short and longer (circular) paths lead around the waterfall.

Unfortunately only a measly trickle - and that at the end of April after rain and snowmelt. Very sad and worrying...
