My bike tour on November 6, 2025, took me from Rehlingen through Siersburg towards Gerlfangen. On the L172 country road, between Siersburg and Gerlfangen, you could see Siersburg Castle in the background if you looked to the right. Since I wanted to continue on to Biringen, a detour to Siersburg Castle wasn't an option for me that day.

The Siersburg (also Siersberg Castle) is the ruin of a high medieval hilltop castle in the Siersburg district of the Saarland municipality of Rehlingen-Siersburg in the Saarlouis district, Germany. It was used as a state castle of the Duchy of Lorraine and, as the former seat of the Lords of Siersberg-Dillingen, has a close historical connection to the Old Castle in Dillingen/Saar on the opposite side of the Saar.🏰🚵♂️
