Between Opi and Villetta Barrea, in the Camosciara area, this panoramic point offers a great view of the Alto Sangro and the Marsicani mountains. You are here in the Camosciara nature reserve, a protected area that owes its name to the large presence of Abruzzo chamois in these areas.

Small village on the shores of Lake Barrea, in the Abruzzo National Park, it is immersed in a suggestive natural environment.

Villetta Barrea is located on the Sangro river in the shadow of Mount Mattone and it is not uncommon for you to come across splendid specimens of deer in its streets. The town was built around the 13th century castle. There are two museums to visit, the transhumance museum and the water museum.

The medieval village of Civitella Alfedena is located on Lake Barrea at 1,212 meters above sea level. Its narrow streets and stone houses make the village very suggestive and in the center there is the visitor point and the Apennine wolf museum. Many people leave from here to go on excursions in the Camosciara nature reserve.

The Camosciara nature reserve is located in the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise national park. There are several itineraries to visit the waterfalls of the nymphs and three spouts and it is the habitat of chamois, deer and the Marsican bear.
