Altenstein Castle was built in 1736 as a residential palace (country house) for the Dukes of Meiningen and expanded after 1800 as a summer residence. The castle is set in extensive parkland, Altenstein Park. With an area of approximately 160 hectares, it is one of the largest historic parks in Thuringia. The 15-hectare core of the park surrounds the castle, the main attractions, and the adjacent, intensively maintained meadows and borders. This area is enclosed by a protective fence to protect it from wild boar and other wild animals.

Death uphill, definitely a lot of fun downhill.

"Sallmannshäuser" presumably refers to Sallmannshausen, a district of the town of Werra-Suhl-Tal in the Wartburg district of Thuringia, Germany. It is a small village geographically located on the Hessian-Thuringian border, directly near Herleshausen. Special features of Sallmannshausen: Located on the Werra River, a tributary of the Weser. Characterized by a rural idyll, historic half-timbered houses, and nature. It was formerly a border town during the GDR era, as it was located directly on the inner-German border.
